About TracedLines

symp

TracedLines is a tool for converting a raster image into a scalable vector graphic. It simply allows you to import a raster image, specify a nearest color palette, and perform the trace. An optimized color palette with the most representative colors will be generated. This palette can be modified. In addition to the colors specified for tracing, mask images and replace colors can be provided. The resulting trace can be printed, exported to a png file, or exported to a svg file. There is an image editor for designing source images, masks, and even background images.

Color Optimization

TracedLines has some of the most powerful and useful Color Optimization features available. One of the most important steps in creating a beautiful trace is Color Optimization. Many tracing programs only allow you to specify the number of colors to trace. Your best results rely on their color quantization algorithm. TracedLines is different in that it will actually suggest both the number and most representative colors to trace. This can provide superior color selection while decreasing file sizes and trace layers. There is the ablity to increase or decrease the number of colors, select colors by percent used, or limit the palette to a specific number of colors.

After the initial palette has been optimized, It can be further refined. You can add colors with an eye dropper tool to exactly match specific colors in your source image. You can also filter the selected colors with powerful filters like Posterize, Grayscale, Custom Color, and Sepia. Since TracedLines takes your Color Palette so seriously, you can even export and import a specified palette. This allows you to share your work with other artists, and provide a consistent result across multiple images. The Color Optimization features in TracedLines are the best available.

Innovation

TracedLines provides many new and innovative features. Starting from Color Palette Optimization, Trace Masks and Replace Colors, and WYSIWYG Detailed Traces, TracedLines delivers.

Photos and Line Art

Color Palette Optimization provides the best, yet reduced, palettes for tracing photos. This can greatly reduce file size and layers. TracedLines can also import and export palettes. Reverse Anti-aliasing can clean up many images for line art tracing and the ability to edit and refine pre trace images can provide superior results.

WYSIWYG Detailed Traces

TracedLines features an accurate tracing algorithm that preserves sharp corners yet provides smooth curves. All with less path nodes.

Trace Masks and Replace Colors

The ability to create Masks and Replace Colors for tracing is new with TracedLines. You can save hours of work creating stunning effects with Color Masking and Replace Colors. All in one development environment.

Image Editor

Create Source, Mask, and Background Images directly from the TracedLines Application. The Image Editor allows you to draw, erase, add clipart, text, and shapes to your images. It also provides an anchored reference layer for designing masks and background images.

Superior Results

TracedLines has superior trace results. Corners are sharp and curves are smooth. The result is predictable and resembles the actual raster image on the small scale.

Small details can have a large effect on the overall trace.
