TracedLines is a small utility app dedicated to one thing - tracing. It will take your bitmap or raster images and photos and convert them to vector graphics. It easily lets you import an image, select the nearest color palette, specify additional settings, and finally create a beautifully traced vector image ready to be exported to SVG. There are some free tracing apps but none (that I am aware of) let you specify the actual colors to trace using a customizable palette. This is very important since the nearest colors selected determine what actually gets traced. TracedLines has many color selection tools including an eye dropper for exactly matching colors contained in your raster image. There are many more expensive apps that let you you do this while still providing the quality traces you expect but TracedLines stands out because it is very affordable. Of course, a suggested palette based on the most dominate colors will be provided and you can specify up to 12 colors. Additional trace settings like line smoothing, the ability to remove speckles of a specified size, greyscale, and outlines are available. Once you are satisfied with your image trace simply export your graphic to the SVG format. Outside of the program, you can then edit nodes, further simplify paths, or make additional changes to your vector drawing using any vector editing software of your choice.
